Guidelines of wiping your phone

Introduction

Let's face it we all have to wipe our phone if we are going to buy new smartphones or want to sell our old smartphone.

So I put up few guidelines to save you all the hassle on how to do it effectively.

How to Wipe your Phone

Android

  1. Deactivate factory reset option
  2. Turn off screen lock
  3. Remove Google account
  4. Remove OEM account
  5. Factory data reset

Windows

  1. Reset the Windows phone
  2. Connect to computer
  3. Upload the dummy data
  4. Reset Windows phone again (repeat step 3)
  5. Final reset

iPhone

  1. Unpair devices
  2. Sign out from all accounts
  3. Sign out from iCloud
  4. Wipe the iPhone (erase all content)
  5. Remove serial number
